Extension Concert: Anna Netrebko with Yannick Nézet-Séguin, October 10-11
After a dark season at The Met due to Covid-19, we are eagerly anticipating its triumphant return this fall. Despite the recent hurdles that have challenged us all, New York remains a beacon of sophistication, class and culture.
Act 1 Tours has selected a diverse trio of operas that will include the historic New York premiere of Fire Shut Up in My Bones, the first opera by a Black composer, Terence Blanchard, to appear on The Met stage. Star-studded performances of Turandot and Iphigénie en Tauride will round out the tour. You will also have the option to attend a matinée performance of Boris Godunov.
For those wishing to extend their stay, there is the rare opportunity to attend a special gala concert featuring world renowned soprano, Anna Netrebko with Yannick Nézet-Séguin at the helm.
Once again, we have selected the iconic Empire Hotel for its exceptional location and service. Superior King Rooms will be offered for single travelers and Deluxe Rooms for doubles with options to upgrade.
Act 1 Tours will be adding additional information to this program, such as sight-seeing and group dining in due course. We will closely monitor Covid-19 protocols for The Metropolitan Opera along with the New York State guidelines as we develop this tour. We will be able to provide pricing details as the program content becomes firm.
